STEAM MAKER’S SUMMER CAMP

Explore and learn about Wonders of the World as we race around the globe surpassing maker
challenges. Navigate through the most Extreme places of the earth and learn about its inhabitants…  Will you survive? What will you make?

Each day students will be focused on their projects, challenges and swimming.  Additionally, they will get special classes in Chess, Tennis, 3-DPrinting, Gymnastics, Robotics, Art, Cooking, Scratch Coding, Photography, Woodworking, Science & Engineering.

SESSION 1 (June 18 – July 6): THE 7 NATURAL WONDERS OF THE WORLD

Join us as we race to find the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. We will explore the Grand Canyon, The Great Barrier Reef, The Harbor at Rio de Janeiro, Mt. Everest, Northern Lights, Paricutin Volcano, and Victoria Falls. At the end of each week, campers will reach a “Pit Stop”.  Along the way they will go through maker challenges, both mental and physical, and will need to collaborate creatively to  complete the tasks. Each session will include games and activities like Robotic Challenges, Video Game Creation, “Minute to Win it” Challenges, and Water Challenges in the pool, and more. School will be close on July 4.

SESSION 2 (July 9 – July 27): THE 7 MANMADE WONDERS OF THE WORLD

This session is all about focusing on 7 Manmade Wonders of the World. Campers will learn about some of man’s greatest achievements. Again, at the end of each  week, campers will reach a “Pit Stop”.  Along the way they will go through maker challenges, engaging both mind and body, and will need to collaborate creatively to  complete the tasks. Each session will include games and activities like Robotic Challenges, Video Game Creation, “Minute to Win it” Challenges, and Water Challenges in the pool, and more.

SESSION 3 (July 30- August 10): THE 7 EXTREME WONDERS OF THE WORLD

Our final session is all about 7 Extreme Wonders of the World. Campers will challenge themselves as they see how people overcome great obstacles to achieve their goals. Again, at the end of each  week, campers will reach a “Pit Stop”.  Along the way they will go through maker challenges, engaging both mind and body, and will need to collaborate creatively to  complete the tasks. Each session will include games and activities like Robotic Challenges, Video Game Creation, “Minute to Win it” Challenges, and Water Challenges in the pool, and more.

SPECIAL CLASSES: Mad Science, Photography, & Scratch/Coding

Every Friday there is a Field Trip scheduled: Liberty Science Center, Newark Museum, *Turtle Back Zoo, *LEGOLAND, Liberty State Park Interpretive Center.

This camp will be broken up into two ages groups Ages 6-7 and Ages 8-10 (Incoming first grade – 6th grade)

HOURS

 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Full Day)

8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Extended Day)

Dates: June 18 – August 10

Early drop-Off available from 8:00 – 8:30 for $25/week

After Care available from 3:00 – 6:00 for $50/week

A DEPOSIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $500 IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT YOUR CHILD’S SUMMER CAMP APPLICATION.  THE REMAINING CAMP FEE BALANCE WILL BE DUE ON JUNE 4, 2018.
