Hudson Montessori School's student delegation is heading to Manhattan this month to participate in the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN). This annual conference is one of the most enriching and immersive programs for our older students. We are excited for students to unveil the presentations they have been diligently preparing. We expect each delegate to make memories that will last a lifetime.
Since the start of this school year, each student has been learning everything they can about their designated country. Our 4th to 6th grade students will only join the conference on Feb. 21. Our 7th and 8th grade students will participate in April, attending the MMUN in Rome, Italy.
Our delegation will join Montessori peers from across the globe to come together in Manhattan for four days. During this time, they will assume the roles of delegates representing different nations. They will act on behalf of their assigned country in role-play activities and draft proposals, deliver presentations, and engage in debates on pertinent global issues. The primary goal of the MMUN is to foster an understanding of world affairs and cultivate problem-solving skills through collaboration and diplomacy.
To learn more about Hudson Montessori School's interdisciplinary, theme-based learning approach to education, the Montessori philosophy and methodology, or how the school fosters the love of learning for its students, the school welcomes parents to learn more for children aged 2 to eighth grade at our upcoming open houses.
