Our students had the pleasure of seeing and participating in winter shows produced by local theaters. Immersion inspires our students to dream bigger and invent new ways to share their art with the world.
This holiday season, the Jersey City Ballet invited our school's Youth Vocal Ensemble to sing at their annual dance concert, Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Our choir performed "Christmas Time is Here" and "Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” accompanying the professional and student dancers that brought the music to life.
The Elementary and Middle School classes also took a walking trip to the theater at the Nimbus Arts Center in downtown Jersey City for an exceptional performance of “The Nutcracker.” Students loved experiencing the classic show alongside their friends and discovering through the play's main character, Clara, that they all possess the power to make their dreams come true.
Field trips are a fun and practical part of our curriculum that extends learning beyond the classroom walls. Activities in our community are woven through every age level and offer students a fundamental understanding of the world around them.
The school's nationally-certified STEM program is heralded for its concentration on the sciences, and the school goes a step further to be a STEAM school, including the “A” for the arts, which unlock each child's creative side, including illustration, design, the performance arts, and so more.
