Our annual School Spirit Week and Danceathon is just one of the exciting ways our students and parents creatively express their love for the Hudson Montessori School community. The week before Spring Break is always highly anticipated as students swap uniforms for creative costumes and celebrate unique dress-up days. We are excited to see our students and staff fill our hallways with their unique creations as we celebrate school spirit and drum up excitement for our Danceathon fundraiser!
Here is this year's dress-up days schedule:
Monday, April 7: Future Me – Dress like who YOU want to be
Tuesday, April 8: Twinning or Class Color – Dress like a teacher, friend, or in class color
Wednesday, April 9: Decades Day –1920s? 1950s? 1980s? Any decade!
Thursday, April 10: Danceathon Day – Dress for dancing, sports, jerseys
Friday, April 11: Pajama Day – A Schoolwide Favorite
The Danceathon is a fun-filled fundraiser run by the school parent organization, the Hudson Montessori Volunteers (HMV). The HMV collects funds for the school to buy enrichment supplies for our classrooms for students of all ages. Our annual fundraising goal is $15,000 to fund those wish list items. A portion of the money each classroom raises goes back to each teacher to supply their classroom.
The HMV encourages parents to support their children's classroom and school by sponsoring their child/ren. Here’s the link to donate: https://app.99pledges.com/fund/HMSdanceathon25
The school recognizes that fundraising is a personal choice, and regardless of whether a child gets pledges, every child will participate in the dancing fun on Thursday and throughout the week for School Spirit Week. Our school is forever grateful for the continued support and generosity of our teachers, students, families, community, and school leadership team. Thank you for your willingness to help our school fundraise for enrichment supplies for our students.
