Hudson Montessori Summer Campers Enjoy Learning Activities Throughout Jersey City

Time flies when you’re having fun! Our campers have been busy playing outside, visiting exciting places like the Liberty Science Center, and refining their Montessori skills!

The Bridge-Primary and Primary classes are enjoying their classroom “beaches” and schoolyard splash zone. In Primary, students have learned the difference between the sunlight and midnight zones, the abyss, and animals that live in each layer of the ocean. The children gravitate to the Montessori practical life shelves filled with an array of activities that strengthen their eye-hand coordination, gross motor, and fine motor function.

Session 2 starts on Monday! The primary classes will be exploring the world’s biomes, while the younger children will delve into the various forms of transportation.

The session 1 Olympics-themed Elementary camp comes to a close at the end of the week. The students are pumped for this month’s Tokyo Olympic Games. Our athletic campers have played many physical and mental games while learning all about the technology supporting the Olympic Games every four years. Our “olympians” are designing their closing ceremony to end this session with epic fanfare.

Looking ahead for elementary, session 2 campers will explore elements of game theory, the mechanics of board games, role-playing games, and video games, and our creative makers will build their own.

Our teachers round out our camp with swimming (elementary) and water play (toddlers and primary), music, Spanish, cooking, coding, yoga, crafts, and so much more. If your child is ready to make, explore, and play, we still have limited spots for Session 2 (July 12-30) and Session 3 (August 2-13).
