Hudson Montessori Student Delegation Works Toward a Better Future at Montessori Model United Nations

schooloffice67

Hudson Montessori School sent a 52-student delegation to Manhattan to represent a wide range of countries at the 2025 Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN). All delegates take on the role of real-world delegates, diligently researching their assigned country's population, government, and role within the United Nations.

Out of thousands of children who attended internationally, five Hudson Montessori School students were selected to address their resolutions on the floor, representing their UN committees on topics ranging from militarization to women’s rights, health issues, and more.

Kudos to middle schoolers Kaelyn S., Elly S., and Vihaan R., as well as fifth graders Abhay P. and Ayan A. for achieving this special honor. Elly S. was also selected for an MMUN songwriting workshop, collaborating with hip hop musician and musical producer Chad Harper to create a song supporting global gender equality with delegates from other schools.

As part of their MMUN committees, each delegate addresses a specific global issue, proposes solutions, and navigates the complexities of international diplomacy. Through this work, the students deeply understand their assigned country's challenges and social justice concerns, ultimately collaborating with other students to draft resolutions to create meaningful change for their country's citizens and the global community.

Congratulations to each delegate on this year's successful presentations. Below is a summary of their work:
