Hudson Montessori School Spreads Holiday Joy

Students Celebrate the Holidays Through Song at Annual Holiday Cheer Event

Hudson Montessori School was filled with holiday songs, laughter, hot cocoa, and pajama parties before we left for the holiday break. This event brings our school community to celebrate various holiday traditions each year.

  • Middle School and Upper Elementary

Zeppelin Hall was filled with the joyful sounds of Hudson Montessori School's Middle School and Upper Elementary students and their families at our annual Holiday Cheer celebration. As the audience gathered around the stage, they sipped tea, coffee, and hot cocoa while enjoying delicious holiday breakfast treats. Afterward, a group of student carolers visited the younger classrooms.

  • Lower Elementary

The backyard playground of 50 Regent was filled with holiday songs. Our first, second, and third-grade students spread the festive cheer by singing holiday classics like “The Dreidel Song,” “Light the Kinara,” “Jingle Bells,” and more. Afterward, parents spent time in each classroom treated to a theatrical presentation by the students of that classroom while sipping hot beverages and holiday treats.

  • Primary and Toddler Classrooms

Primary and toddler parents were welcomed to their respective classrooms for holiday parties with activities, holiday snacks, songs, and pajama parties. To cap off the day, the holiday student carolers serenaded each classroom with holiday songs and were accompanied by a special guest—Santa!

Partnership with MedCore to Bring Joy to Cancer Patients this Holiday Season

We come together each holiday season to share special traditions and give back to our local community. This year, with the help of our HMS community, we donated toys and gifts to children with cancer in the hospital during the holidays.

These donations were presented to MedCore, an organization local high school students created. Our partnership arose when Hudson Montessori teachers met the MedCore students at a recent science event. The teachers loved the idea of our Hudson Montessori students and families helping a child-led organization that gives back to children needing holiday cheer. Hudson Montessori Middle School students led the charge, supported by our Hudson Montessori Volunteers parent group.

We thank all who donated or participated to make our holiday toy drive successful.

Kindergarten and Lower Elementary Experience “The Nutcracker”

Our Kindergarten and Lower Elementary students had the exciting opportunity to visit the Nimbus Arts Center in downtown Jersey City. There, they attended an exceptional performance of “The Nutcracker.” The students were captivated by the timeless but Jersey City-inspired rendition of the holiday ballet. The chance to experience it alongside their friends made it even more special. Special thanks to the Tanaka Family for their generosity, making this event a cherishable moment for our students.
