Dr. Maria Montessori believed that helping children form a more complete worldview is vital in promoting global understanding and international peace. At Hudson Montessori School, we help children achieve an understanding of the world by teaching our students about social justice in age-appropriate ways.
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, younger students enjoyed stories about Dr. King, learning about his life and dream for our country and world. Teachers stressed the importance of equality, kindness, and helping others.
Older students continued discussions about Dr. King’s legacy and the reason for celebrating his life’s work. Inspired by Dr. King, the students wrote about their own dreams for our nation, envisioning a just and inclusive future for everyone.
