The goods and fundraising drive for WomenRising continues to be a great success! Earlier this week, the upper elementary class of Hudson Montessori School helped load up the van full of items collected from the Thanksgiving drive. The monetary fundraiser does not end until the end of Thanksgiving Day—so if you haven’t donated yet, there is still time.

More than three full bags of clothes and shoes, one large box of dry, non-perishable food, and two boxes each of diapers and baby items were delivered by a handful of students. So far, just over $1,300 has been raised. Every penny helps! The upper elementary students were very excited by the success of the drive and would like to thank the entire Hudson Montessori School community and their friends and family who participated.
One hundred percent of all donations go to WomenRising, a Jersey City-based organization that helps families get out of domestic violence situations and offers them a fresh start. WomenRising reminds all Jersey City residents that their helpline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at (201) 333-5700.
